FASHION TRENDS PREDICTED BY ME FOR S/S 2012

I was reading this book- The World of Fashion(Third Edition) by Jay and Ellen Diamond and I found something on fashion forecasting:


FASHION FORECASTER- Resident buying offices and fashion forecasting companies predict fashion trends. Fashion forecasters visit the textile mills to assess the fabrics and colors that will be featured in clothing approximately 12 to 18 months later, study haute couture designs that will probably be translated into more affordably price models, and analyze social, political and economic events that could become the basis of future fashion trends. Often they travel to foreign countries to observe the ways in which people there dress- this is sometimes the inspiration for new designs. A fashion forecasters career requires good verbal and writing skills, a keen understanding of fashion fundamentals, and the ability to participate in research endeavors.
